Tumaini, 23, a foreigner and resident in a country not his own was the perfect illustration of all nature of loneliness. He walked, talked, and lived – in Ongata Rongai – alone until on one lucky day when he was inspired by the beauty, simplicity, and wit of a dream come true; a one Wairimu. He was attracted to women who not only roused his loins but his intellect as well.
His only desire was to please her. His nerve was unappreciated. She was ineflixable. She remained unavailable. She did not stay long enough to know he had grown to love her. Last night, a few uninvited roaches attended his private hanging ceremony in his kitchen.
On discovery, his last unanswered text read;
“I would be lying to say that I do not miss you, who for a few weeks was my sweetest thought, and my greatest inspiration, before you literally set yourself ablaze and made it impossible for us to interact. I feel like I have been bathed in gall. I can barely comprehend what you have done to me.”
